Slumber Party

C:  "Mommy, I can't wait till Abby comes over for our Slumber Party"
A:  "What do you do at a Slumber Party?"  (slumber party?  Abby is coming for a playdate)
C"  "You wave flashlights!  But I don't have a flashlight mommy"

Feelings

Claire and I were discussing her feelings today.  What makes her sad or angry and what makes her happy.  Her answers:

Soup makes her angry, but not soup with cheese and rice, that's yummy

 

I can make her happy by giving her snacks all the time

She's on Fire

In one day:

"I'm a big girl.  I can go pee pee and poo poo by myself.  I'm a Can-Do Kid"

"Mommy, your breath is stinky"

"Mommy, go check your e-mail."

Lunch

Me: "Claire, you didn't eat much of your lunch today.  Why not?"

Claire:  "It wasn't very tasty, momma.  You shouldn't put vegetables in my sandwich."

Genes

Claire: "These are my polish shoes"

in reference to her sneakers from Target

Labor Pains

Mommy: "Claire, thank you so much.  That rubbing was really helpful."
Claire:  "You're welcome.  Next time you fall asleep, I'll rub you again."

(Um, yeah, not sleeping.  Having contractions)
